This domain has a historical connection with Formartine United, but The North Touchline is an independent football publication. It is not the club’s website, ticket office or supporters’ membership service.
For current fixtures, club news, hospitality and contact details, use Formartine United FC’s official website. At our check on 15 October 2026, the club site identified North Lodge Park in Pitmedden and provided its own fixture and enquiry routes. Check those live channels before travelling; information on an old linked page may no longer apply.
Why keep the distinction visible?
A saved bookmark can outlive the organisation of a website. A visitor may arrive expecting a fixture list from years ago, while a search result still displays a familiar domain. An independent masthead should not borrow the club’s crest or imply that a new article speaks for the club.
Our interest is the wider culture of football in the north: how people watch a match, record local sporting memory and understand the work around a ground. We do not publish invented results, announce transfers or accept payments for club services. Historical material is labelled with its period, and current arrangements are best confirmed with the organisation responsible for them. If you spot a confusing link on this publication, our letters page is the appropriate place to report it.
